Rockie
We adopted Rockie March 12, 2007. An early Birthday present for me. This was Rockies
write up:
"Rockie might be big, but he has more manners than most dogs half his size. Rockie will sit on command; he's extremely calm and gentle and appreciates attention. Rockie was surrendered to the shelter because his owner left Rockie with a friend, and his guardian can no longer take care of him. Rockie is just three years-old, already neutered, and QUIET. You'll usually find Rockie curled up on his blanket; this laid-back fellow deserves a warm place to sleep, and an owner who loves him!
This pet is already house trained.
This pet has been altered."

Meet another member of our family
Zoe
Zoe, was rescued on 4/23/04 from the City of Arlington
She was in
cage A3. Hers was the first cage on the right in the first kennel just inside
the gate and she was the first dog I saw at the pound. I wanted her immediately
but my wife wanted to look further so we did the complete walk through. We
also saw two terriers, one red and white and one brown and black that got our
attention, but we left and talked about it before deciding that double the
adoption costs and double the vet fees was not something we could afford at this
time, before we went back and got Zoe. We had also been looking at
PetFinder.com and
Furry Friends Inc. If you
are looking for a pet, please consider your local pound or one of these
facilities. There are so, so many animals that need a loving home! Other pics of Zoe.
Pebbles
Pebbles passed

She use to sit in my lap while I sat at my computer.
Pebbles, sweetie, I hope you're in the "big green food".
That was what we called it, when I'd take her out
to eat grass in the front yard. I love you Pebbles...
Olivia and Phoebe joined our family 5/18/02.
The shots of them were taken when we first got them and
then again 6/29/03. They grew quite a lot as you can see.
I will cherish the time we shared with them. They were
good piggies.
I think they will be my last cavies. You get so attached
and they are only with you for such a short time
Olivia died 3/13/05. We didn't even get to have her for three years. :-(
Phoebe had to be put down 6/17/05. She had problems with her lymph nodes
and was only with us for 3 years and a month.
